With over 20 years of expertise, Dembis Thioung specializes in crafting traditional African drums, as well as re-skinning, tuning, and repairing their wooden structures. His skills extend to Djembe, Dundun, Sabar, and Asico drums.
Some tips here for the care of your drum:
- Always love & respect your drum (no sitting, no feet on the skin, nothing on top)
- Keep it warm
- Play it often
- Listen, and the drum’s spirit will guide you when it needs tuning

£100 fee. Excludes skin + cords
TUNE
£60. Polishing skin available for extra fee, sending pictures for a quote. Excess of sweat in the skin can create layers that change the tone
WOOD FIXING
If the wood of the shell of the drum needs repair, send images via email or whatsapp for a quote.
